Josine Alexandra Gamboa is an environmental lawyer and public policy specialist, and law professor. She is currently a partner in YDL Law where she handles the firm's portfolio on renewable energy projects, environmental compliance, ESG investing, CSR advising, public policy engagement, and advocacy work.
She was previously the Manager of Government Initiatives for Rare’s branch office in the Philippines, where she engaged national and sub-national government agencies and global institutions to create an enabling policy environment for the Philippines to promote and support community-led coastal and fisheries resource management. She was also previously the Deputy Chief of the Legal Services Division of the Climate Change Commission of the Philippines, where she contributed in government policy and negotiated in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) process.
