Kubi is a Filipino researcher working on the conservation and management of tropical coastal systems. Her research interests are resilience and local coastal adaptation, marine protected areas, and ecosystem services. She is largely trained in the natural sciences, but has strong experience in social and development work. Kubi is also interested in building capacity and engaging stakeholders, particularly in developing approaches to transform technical knowledge for meaningful use in management and decision-making.
